SEALING COUPLED AND POLYPROPYLENE BAGS

When it is necessary to make coupled and polypropylene bags sealing, it is possible to use double sealing bar sealers specially designed to seal this type of materials.
Thanks to the double sealing bar, even food bags in coupled material and with bellows are easily sealable as the heat is diffused on both sides of the product.
These machines differ in the size of the sealing bars, in the type of sealing (impulse or hot bar) and in the fact that they can be placed on a bench or supported by a stand.

Type of bars: impulse or hot bars?

Impulse sealers are characterized by the fact that the bars are generally cold and heat up only when the impulse is given by the machine.
Thanks to these features it is possible to achieve very precise seals even with mechanical pedal or lever models as the sealing is managed by micro and timers.
These models perform smooth seals, with a width of 5 or 10 mm.

Hot bar sealers seal through two constantly hot bars; they are equipped with resistance, thermoregulator for temperature control.
Unlike impulse sealers, the result of a hot bar sealing carried out on a manual model greatly depends on the skill of the operator as they do not have a timer and he will decide the sealing times; these sealers can perform knurled seals from 12 to 14 mm.

Impulse and hot bar sealers are available in the following models:

Pliers: very practical and light sealers that allow you to seal even large bags without having to move them.

Bench-top lever: practical, easy-to-move and small-sized sealers allow you to seal bags with high thickness, coupled and with bellows thanks to the double 10 mm sealing bar. The operator must then hold the bag with one hand and operate the lever with the other; the operation can be uncomfortable and impractical if you need to seal many bags during the day.

With mechanical pedal: more professional sealers than the previous model, they are available in the variant with high load pedestal (max. load 20 kg). Sealing with mechanical pedal activation may be less accurate as the pressure is decided by the operator and not electronically. Despite the presence of the pedestal with support surface, this type of sealing machine is not recommended if you need to carry out a large number of seals during the day because the mechanical pedal requires greater effort from the operator than models with electric pedal.

With electric pedal: the electric pedal sealers can be counter top or vertical with pedestal. The presence of the support surface allows the operator to have both hands free to position and hold the bag during sealing. The electric pedal ensures uniform results and allows you to carry out many seal without effort on the part of the operator.

Marking of bags – continuous sealers
Previous sealers do not have a lot and expiry marker so if you need to add this information too, you must take into account the purchase of a separate marker or consider the purchase of a continuous sealing machine.
Continuous sealers are faster than the previously listed sealers as they are equipped with a drag belt for transporting the bags. Sealing takes place during dragging and, at the end of it, a marker is positioned to carry out the marking.
