The gabions hog pliers are very strong manual or pneumatic clippers of large dimensions with ring closure.
They use 45mm clips. with wire diam 3 mm. and can close up to a diameter of 15 mm. They are suitable for the assembly of mesh containment gabions, wire mesh structures and fences, fixing reinforcement for building, closing bags or mattresses that are used as retaining walls, noise barriers, dams, road reinforcements, bank reinforcement, horticulture, traps and rockfall nets.

The clipper uses HR 45 GALFAN staples, composed of an alloy of zinc (~ 95%) – aluminum (~ 5%) and mixed metals. Coating thickness min. 200g / m2 according to EN 10244-2, tensile strength: 1750-1900 N / mm2.
The coated wire GALFAN presents a protection against the superior corrosion compared to conventional coated galvanized wire.
In the image you can see the table with the graph relating to the comparison of resistance between the classic galvanized point and the GALFAN point. The figure shows that Galfan’s relative advantage improves from 1.7 points at five years of exposure and 3.0 at the end of twenty years.
